The incidence of rabies in neighboring Fauquier County has gone from outbreak to epidemic proportions, according to regional health director Dr. John Einarson.

In response, the health department is planning another round of dog and cat immunization clinics in Fauquier for late July, this time with vaccination centers set up in the northern and southern portions of the county as well as in the Warrenton area.

A clinic will be held next week in Culpeper, and in addition, Einarson said, another clinic may be held in Rappahannock County later this month.
