Sperryville were Sunday evening callers of Mrs. Nethers.
Mrs. Vernon MacTurk, Noel Ward and Mr. and Mrs. John Moore and Aaron, all of Front Royal, joined by Mrs. W. A. Moore, spent last week at Chesapeake Bay.
Mrs. Eleanor Timmons of Alexandria is spending two weeks with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Walter J. Curtis.
Bake Sale
The Mt. Lebanon Baptist youth group is planning a yard and bake sale to raise money to finance a volunteer mission support program next summer. The entire proceeds of the sale will be used to provide transportation to a Baptist Missionary site in the U.S. where the youth expect to conduct a Vacation Bible School and do other volunteer work.
The sale will be held allday Saturday, August 8, beginning at 8:30 a.m. at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Donald K. Deal on Rt. 522 at Rt. 650 in Boston.
Anyone wishing to donate useable items or baked goods should contact Mrs. Deal at 825-1552 or Mrs. Jewell at 987-8706.
