Several letters to the Editors have been written pertaining to Abortion.
The most recent one authored by Mr. Willis Dearing, in particular, deserves to be answered.
1. Obviously any cell, may it be like an ameba, (one cell) or like cells in flowers have a biological life, but the conflict arises when the product of conception from its onset is supposed to have a spiritual life. There is no scientific evidence for that concept, it is purely based on religious belief.
2. For the first 30 days the embryo has no resemblance to a human being and measures about 6mm or V* of an inch. . 3. It is supposed that the human heart begins to set blood in motion at about 6 weeks. These contractions are purely muscular phenomenon since the nerve supply to the heart comes only several weeks later.
