An oral surgeon will examine your mouth, including a survey of face, lips, cheeks, gums, tongue and roof and floor of the mouth in a painless examination which takes from 3 to 5 minutes per patient.

This is a combined project of the American Cancer Society, Medical College of Virginia-Virginia Commonwealth University School

of Dentistry and the Dental Division of the State Health Department. Their team consists of 2 oral surgeons, 1 oral pathologist, 6 dental students, a faculty member of the School of Hygienists and volunteers from the American Cancer Society.
