The Rappahannock Rebels and the Sperryville Brewers both qualified for the state Slo-Pitch Softball finals on the basis of play in last weekend’s District C Regional Tournament in Harrisonburg.
Out of 26 teams, the Rebels finished first with a 50 tournament record and the Brewers finished fifth, winning four games and losing only two.
Along with six teams from each of the other five regions in the state, the Rebels and Brewers will play in the Virginia Slo-Pitch Softball Finals in Harrisonburg on August 21, 22 and 23.
