This summer, while most Rappahannock school children are trying their best to forget about school, six yougsters in Mary Jane McCarthy's special summer school class are spending a few hours each week making sure that they don't forget what the past year has taught them.
These children have special learning needs and McCarthy thinks it’s important to provide some continuity over the summer so that every hard-fought gain can be retained.
