Four members of the Washington Town Council held a short meeting on a bench outside the courthouse on a very hot Wednesday night. Brad Fisher presided in the absence of Mayor Newbill Miller.
The main topic of the regularly-scheduled July meeting was the progress made in incorporating the new, town well into the town water system.
Fisher told other council members that tests received on the quality of the water coming from the new well were fine. “We tested higher in iron and magnesium than is generally considered pleasing,” he said. //
