Rappahannock’s supervisors took a first tentative step at Tuesday’s meeting to resolve the fire and rescue dispatch problem, obligating the county to provide up to S5.000 as the local match in a grant for radio equipment to outfit a local dispatch station.
Difficulties first arose last March when the Culpeper Fire and Rescue Squad announced that emergency dispatch service provided to fire and rescue units in Washington, Flint Hill, Amissville and Castleton would cease as of July 1. The
