He thinks he'd be taking on too much without additional help and I agree.” the sheriff added.
Buntin also told the board that he’s not willing for the sheriffs department to be responsible for 24 hour dispatch. He added that he didn't think using volunteers to handle dispatch when sheriffs office personnel weren’t available would work either ‘‘because we never know when we’ll need them, when an emergency will come up that will take us out of the office.”
