This Saturday night. Sept. 12. the Rappahannock Country Dancers will sponsor a very special Contra Dance called by Howard Bass of the Bluemont Country Dancers. Playing old-time and Irish stringband music will be The Stable Band. The Dance will be held at the Washington Community Center on Fodderstack Road and will start promptly at 8 p.m.
Howard Bass helped found the Bluemont Country Dancers over five years ago over in Loudoun County. Since then he has been both Contra and Morris Dancing with that group. Bass began calling dances about a year and has just finished teaching contra dancing in Bluemont. This Saturday he will be calling dances of various difficulties, walking through them all to teach
