Johnson
Services for Horace W. Johnson, 77, of Culpeper were conducted Wednesday at Culpeper Baptist Church by the Rev. John S. Farrar and the Rev. Neil Ellis. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery.
Mr. Johnson died Sunday, September 6, 1981 at Fauquier Hospital, Warrenton. He was a native of Rappahannock County but had lived in Culpeper for many years. His parents were the late Horace G. and Susie Dennis Johnson, both of Rappahannock County. Mr. Johnson was retired as a sergeant from the Culpeper Police Department.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mabel Barsron Johnson of Culpeper; a daughter, Mrs. Carole Willis Johnson of Fairfax; two sisters, Mrs. Emily Owen and Mrs. Mary J. Chukins, both of Culpeper, and a brother, Russell L Johnson of Daytona Beach, Fla.
Yowell
Mrs. Olive Rosson Yowell, 93. of Culpeper died Thursday, September 3, 1981 at Culpeper Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services were held Saturday at Bethel Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Kenneth Honeycutt. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Yowell was the widow of the late Ambler Carlton Yowell. She was a native of Rappahannock County and the daughter of the late Charles Henry and Annie Frances Calvert Rosson.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
