The Commission of Game and Inland Fisheries has set hunting seasons for woodcock, railbirds certain other migratory species.

Seasons and bag limits include a split dove season, the first segment opening September 5, 1981, and closing October 24 and the second segment starting December 19 and closing January 7, 1982. The bag limit will be 12 birds daily, 24 in possession. During the first segment of the dove season shooting will commence at 12-noon and end at sunset During the second , part of the season, shooting may commence 'A hour before sunrise and will end at sunset.

The season for hunting Clapper, King, Sora and Virginia rails will open September 12, 1981 and close November 20, 1981. The bag limits are 15 Clapper and King rails daily, 30 in possession. The daily limit on sora and Virginia rails is 25.

Woodcock season will open November 9, 1981 and extends through January 12, 1982. The daily bag limit is 5 with a possession limit of 10. The season for taking common snipe opens October 17, 1981 and will close January 31, 1982. The daily limit is 8 and the possession limit is 16.
