Rappahannock’s first Memorial Day Service will be held this Monday, May 30, 10:30 a.m., at historic St. Paul’s Cemetery in Woodville. The morning prayer service, offered in honor of the county’s forebears and those from Rappahannock who gave their lives for this country, will be led by Rev. Jennings Hobson.

In addition to honoring the patriotic dead, the ceremony will call attention to local efforts to raise funds for the continuing care of the cemetery. This peaceful plot of land was the burial site for Woodville Episcopalians and later, was to all citizens.
