For Spelman, presenting a solo performance on tour is the outgrowth of 15 years experience in the professional theatre as actor, director. and writer. His work has been seen in New York. Chicago, Washington, Baltimore, and Atlanta, and 400 other locations throughout the eastern United States.
For five years, Spelman toured with the Asolo State Theater, a regional theatre similar to Washington’s Arena Stage; and. for seven years, he was artistic director of Florida Studio Theatre, a professional theatre which toured to such "non-theatrical” locations as schools, prisons, senior cen• ters, and community centers. Vaneev Register and his TALKIN’ TALES came out of that experience. A compact, easv-to-tour show, which can meet an audience at any place and any time.
