began Monday, May 19. Two fringe trees were planted and a Diodara cedar in memory of Mrs. Weiland Flynt, a past president of the Rappahannock club and state life member.
A large group of members was present for the memorial service.

The Rappahannock Garden Club presented a standard mini-flower show, honoring Rappahannock County on the occasion of its Sesquicentennial (18331983) at its May meeting.
It was held at Avondale, the home of Mrs. George Davis and Mrs. H. C. Sutherland and Mrs. Morgan Johnston as co-hostesses.
Ribbons in the miniature class “Headspring of the Rappahannock” were awarded to Lydagene Muth, Martha Sutherland, Jo Frantz and Frances Russell.
