On the heels of their most successful baseball season in years, the Rappahannock Panthers have placed two players on first team, all-district, with a third awarded honorable mention.

Jeff Porter, 'Rappahannock's sophomore sensation, made first team as an outfielder while senior Pops Aylor was named to the Bull Run District allstars on the basis of his performance as a designated hitter. Senior Mike . Leake, an all-district basketball center, won honorable mention as an outfielder.

“I expect Jeff to be the best baseball player ever to come out of Rappahannock County by the time he's a senior," said coach Don Dawson. “He’s definitely a pro-prospect. He has all the tools to play big time college ball. Jeffs fast, he has a great arm and he hits the ball well."
