“It’s important to know that confidentiality is repsected at Primavera. No-one on the outside has the right to know who is there. Nobody’s business or family interests have to suffer because of their treatment.
“Our goal when we left was to go to 90 AA meetings in 90 days. I have kept that goal and now, eight months later, I still go every day. I hope I will always go. It’s hard to explain, but our meetings aren’t grim. And my stay at Primavera wasn’t grim. We joked, we shared things, we had fun. We went fishing and played baseball.
“I volunteer there every week. I can’t say how much it has meant to me. It saved my life.”
