Brown set out to increase the capitol of the bank by organizing and selling stock—bringing new people into the bank. In this way he hoped to encourage farmers who did their banking out of the county to invest locally instead.
He advertised the bank’s services and eventually did build up the county business at the bank, increasing its ability to make loans and earn interest. Here he stayed until 1925.
