Va. Trails Meeting
The Virginia Trails Association will host a three-day meeting at Graves Mountain Lodge in Syria, June 17-19.
Activities include slide shows; speakers on pathfinding projects, protection of wildflowers, volunteer programs and State Trails’ plans; horseback riding; canoeing; biking and hiking.

Musical Benefit
Two of the Shenandoah Valley’s favorite performers, John Jackson and Madeline MacNeil, will highlight a fundraising Musicfest at the Thunderbird Museum and Archeological Park on Sunday, May 29.
The program, the second annual fundraising benefit for the museum, will begin at noon when the $5.00,tickets go on sale (children 7 and under will be admitted free). Music performances will run from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Thunderbird Park is located seven miles south of Front Royal on Route 340.
Proceeds will be used to help support the operation of the non-profit museum, Virginia’s only archeological museum. Tickets may be purchased in advance by calling the museum at 6357337.
RAAC Annual Meeting
There will be an annual meeting on June 5 at 3 p.m. at the home of Bill and Mitzi Young. Members will gather for an important business meeting, including election of board members, followed by entertainment by the Last Minute Wood Company and several member musicians. A picnic is included in this enjoyable afternoon event. A rain date of June 12 has been set.
