Wakefield’s Dr. Barbara Myatt Memorial Award to the All-Around Girl went to Daphne Laimbeer. The Peter Quinn Cup to the AllAround Boy went to Travis Tisinger. The United States Marine Corps Leadership Award was won by Mary Jo Lawrence, and the Citizenship trophies by Stephanie Zoebelein and John Vanderzon. The Headmaster’s Awards went to Jacqueline Finzel and Matthew van der Woude.
The school’s most important prize, the Dr. William Lynn, Sr., Award for Academic Excellence, was won by ninth grader Sean Bennett.
The ceremonies concluded with the lighting of the candle of the Class of 1984 by senior prefect John Vanderzon.
