The participation in the first Rappahannock Golf Tournament was disappointing. However, next year should be better and the sponsors hope it will become establish sd as a traditional Father’s Dsy event.
Winners in the Best Ball Team play were Paul Bennet of Washington and Nicholas Bischoff. Nick is home for the summer from Culver Academy. At 16, this young golfer shows promise.
Unusual scores on the tough 11th hole were recorded by Lisa Day, a "Birdie” 4, and by Susan Carney, an “Eagle” 8.
Bill Snead and Frank Reynolds witnessed the shots by Day and Carney.
