In the White Stop-Fox Mountain area on Rt. 752 is a plain 2-story frame house with large chimneys, gabled roof, ehihr-ndl moldings on the plastered wall, 6-panel doors, and mantels with carved medidlions. There are several corner fireplaces. Leading from the entrance hall is an enclosed stairway. Studdings are fastened with pegs.
An old mesthouse has shop-made nails and hinges; just outside the yard is a stone office building with battened doors.
The house appears old enough to have been built by its earliest known owner, William Slaughter, Jr. prior to 1840. He was followed by Garnetts A Bickerses.
