DRESSED FOR AN EVENING OUT—Thomas Smith and a lady friend wait for the car on the front steps of his home near Flint Hill. Smith was a large landowner with properties on the Resettlement Road. This photograph, taken about 50 years ago, was found in Smith’s former residence by current owners, Mr. and Mrs. Carroll Kidwell.
