Convention
Joyce Wharton and Betty Jenkins, both of Sperryville returned recently from Charlotte, N.C. where they attended the Diet Watchers National Convention.
Attending the convention were delegates from many of the 22 states in which Diet Watchers operates. Featured at the convention were seminars on nutrition, exercise, motivation, public relations, and other related subjects.
A fashion show, featuring dieters from all over the nation who have lost from 50 to 100 + pounds, was the highlight of the convention.
The Diet Watchers Plan, a seminar business, is a subsidiary of the National Diet Institute (formerly Conway Diet), which has other “sister” units offering products, educational and motivational materials.
Seminars using the Diet Watchers Plan are offered at two locations in Rappahannock County.
