Mr. ueanng was bom in Washington, Va. and brought up by an uncle.

Mr. Dealing was honored many times by friends and community groups. In 1961, he was honored at a testimonial banquet and named Man of the Year by the Bel Air Civic Chib, complete with a resolution from Cleveland City Council, Governor, County Commissioners, Judges and Masons. He was also named Father of the Year by Cleveland Veterans Hospital and received an appreciation award from Glenville Multi-Service Corp.

He is survived by his wife, Roberta; a daughter, Sandra McCorry; son, Ulysses S. Dearing, Jr.; grandchildren, Martin and Pamela Dearing, and Tracey, Erica and Leah McCorry; great-grandchild, Dominiqua Dearing; and a sister, Ophelia Russell of Bronx, N. Y.; along with countless friends.
