Masonic Meeting The Washington Masonic Lodge #78 will meet on Tuesday, August 7 at 8 p.m. at the Washington Baptist Church.

Williamsburg Pottery Trip Planned Fauquier County Parks and Recreation has planned a trip by air conditioned chartered bus to the pottery factory in Williamsburg on Wednesday, August 8. The bus will leave from Fauquier High School at 7:30 a.m. and return to Fauquier High at 10:00 p.m. Food and beverages may be taken on the bus. Cost of the trip is $12.00 per person. Registration is limited to the first 46 to register and pay at Parks and Recreation 14 Main St., Warrenton.

Agriculture Offerings

At Lord Fairfax Individuals engaged in both small and large scale agricultural enterprises can add to their expertise through several agriculture courses being offered at Lord Fairfax Community College this fall. Registration for returning students is August 16 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Open registration will be held August 29 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and August 30 from 5 p.m. to8p.m. Classes begin September 10. State Fastpitch Tournament The Class B Men’s Fastpitch Softball State Tournament will be played August 4 and 6 in Marshall. This tournament is being conducted by the Northern Virginia Men’s Fastpitch League and the Virginia Amateur Softball Association. Games will be played at the three field complex at Coleman Elementary/Marshall Junior High on Route 709 in Marshall. Daily admission is $2.00 for spectators twelve and older, under 12 are free. Souvenir tournament T-shirts will be on sale for $6.00 each. There is no charge for parking. Tournament ceremonies will be conducted prior to 7:80 p.m. game on August 4.
