Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Campbell celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary at Country Cookin’ in Culpeper on Sunday. Approximately 22 guests were present. Those from out of town included Mr. and Mrs. Richard Gardner of Randallstown, Md. and Mr. and Mrs. Steve Lockheart of Front Royal. The group stopped to visit Mr. and Mrs. Billy Campbell and Harry Deal in Culpeper and the Leonard Campbells were presented gifts. To end the evening everyone enjoyed a late supper at the Campbell’s home.
Guests on Tuesday of J. Stant Weaver were Mr. and Mrs. Nick Penaranda of Griffinsburg and Kristina Walker of Columbia, S.C. Luncheon guests of Mr. Weaver on Sunday were Mrs. G. R. Butler and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Gibbs, all of Boston, Mrs. William Thornhill and Mr. and Mrs. George Butler, Jr., all of Culpeper.
On Thursday Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Crews hosted the annual picnic for Virginia Extension Homemakers Club. Sunday guests in the Crews’ home were Katherine Wells and Herman Baber of Camp Springs, Md.
Mrs. Arne Olsen of Concord was an overnight guest on Monday of Mrs. E. M. Jones.
