A New Bus
Next on the list was the procurement of a new bus, a procedure also requiring bidding. The board opened two bids, one from Sonny Merriman of Rustburg, and one from Salem Quality Equipment, Inc., a Bluebird distributor.
Salem had the low bid, which was accepted.
Assistant Superintendent Tom Campbell told the board that it could probably save a substantial amount by picking up the bus in Buena Vista, Va.; it was agreed to do so.
Literary Loan At Last
Good news from Superintendent Robert Estabrook was that the literary ' loan application of $1,509,000 by the | Rappahannock schools had been apnroved. of the selection at

After a discussion of personnel matters in executive session, the board voted in public session to accept the resignation of Sally Brandt, a high school Earth Science teacher, and to , appoint Scott Appman as Industrial Arts teacher at the high school.
