The very fact tljat the school must operate for 10 hours a day requires a flexible working staff to make sure that all hours are covered. Imagine the juggling that takes!
The working parents who have children at Sursum Corda are making more than $1.40 an hour. They use the school because (1) they have elected to have children they do not want to care for themselves, or (2) they want their children to benefit from the schools program, or (3) they have to work to support their families and need help they can count on.
To turn on the school because they are dissatisfied with themselves and their lives and the results of their choices is to reveal themselves as blind. They might with more justice attack the telephone company, the supermarket, or the clothes and automobile makers for their charges than attack Sursum Corda.
I’m reminded of the people who think $1.20 for a dozen eggs is too much. What can you get for 10c that is anything like as valuable as an egg? What can you get for yourself and your child for $1.40 that is worth as much as an hour of the care of a baby at Sursum Corda?
