To the editor:
We would simply like to add our names to the long list of those who support The Child Care and Learning Center, Sursum Corda.
Here in this aging farmhouse, children from Rappahannock (and some from neighboring counties) receive individual attention as they participate in a variety of programs. From the Infant Toddler program right up through Preschool, and into enrichment programs such as Dance, Karate, Art, Stained Glass — the children are stimulated to learn.
Each day there are songs, games and lessons. There is a variety of toys, books, and playground equipment that would be hard to match in any home. A very nutritious lunch is served.
Those who care for and teach the children really love them. The teachers receive special guidance from child-development experts and participate in workshops at scheduled intervals. (Best of all, many of them are mothers!) As parents, we are encouraged to maintain close involvement with the Center. Any questions have been welcomed by the staff.
Parents were recently informed of impending cost increases in the InfantToddler programs. Parental reaction was sought before any increases were established.
