Monitoring the weather conditions for thirteen hours on Friday, February 1,1 was satisfied that our temperature clung to just above freezing (33-34) most of the day. Had the temperature dropped to freezing or slightly below we would have had 14 inches of snow.
As we enter our shortest month of the year, where weather is concerned, let’s take it a day at a time. February can be different. February of 1984 gave us 13 days when the temperature was 50 degrees or above. On the other hand, February 11, 1983 landed 27 inches of snow on us. Perhaps it’s well that this is our shortest month.
