Growth mania distorts the environment and robs the world of its non-renewable resources for no better end that making more and deadlier missies, hair dryers, stereos, cars and computers. Schumacher’s message of limited expansion and growth has secured him a place in the heart of conservationists, populists and back to the land whole earth cataloguers.
