We need to make sure that farm markets are available to the maximum for our farmers. There’s an enormous opportunity - we have so much of the world starving now when we have farmers who are paid not to grow. Viguerie: Certainly.

Rapp. News: What is your position on abortion and why?

Viguerie: There is probably no issue in America that creates more emotion than abortion. I feel very strongly that abortion is the taking of human life, and I would oppose abortion except in the case of saving the life of the mother. I certainly can empathize with people who have to face that problem in their life - it’s a difficult, traumatic time for many people, but I think you have to remember that it is a human life.
