Community Good Friday Service
A community Good Friday Easter service will be held at the Amissville Baptist Church on April 5 at 7:30 p.m., sponsored by the Forest Grove Baptist Church and the Amissville church.
The Rev. Alexander C. Walker, pastor of the Forest Grove Church will deliver the Good Friday message and the Rev. Ray J. Cutchin will lead the service. Rev. Cutchin will conduct a weekend revival at the Amissville church, with services on Saturday evening beginning at 7:30 and at 6:45 on Sunday evening.
Sunrise Service On Red Oak Mountain
The Woodville, Amissville and Forest Grove Baptist Churches are participating in a Sunrise Worship on Red Oak Mountain at 5:46 a.m. Easter Sunday morning, April 7.
The Rev. Ernest Cornwell will deliver the Easter message and the Rev. Alexander Walker will lead the program. If the weather does not permit an outdoor service, the meeting will be moved to the Forest Grove Church in Viewtown. The public is invited to attend.
Easter Egg Hunt
The Sperryville United Methodist Church Sunday School will have an Easter egg hunt at the home of Mrs. Elaine Braddock on Saturday, April 6 at 1 p.m. The group will meet at the church at 12:45 and from there to the Braddock home. Anyone needing directions or transportation should be there on time.
