The day’s racing begins at noon with junior flat races. In the pony division there are four entries while seven horses, including F. Bruce Miller’s Middlehurg winner Yale Key, will contest the second division.
The ladies timber race, which may be one of the most exciting races of the day, follows the junior races.
Patti Cassel’s three-time winner Splashy Lea heads a field of eight for this 2 '/2-mile contest but will once again face Dave Rollison’s Ahwaz and jockey Eva Dahlgren who have finished second to Splashy Lea each time the two horses have met this season.
