The purpose of the survey was to serve as part of an evaluation of curricular offerings and course content, according to Dr. Joseph White, school principal. The evaluation will be used to continue planning and maintaining a curriculum suited to the needs of the students and the community.
“The overall impression gained from the survey is that Clarke County High School is meeting the needs of its students,” said Dr. White in a statement disclosing the survey results.

The Fauquier Clean Up Committee believes the county has unlimited potential to convert trash to cash.
Don Schenck, committee member and parks superintendent for Fauquier Parks and Recreation, is looking for volunteers who would find a site for the plant and operate its equipment.
Owens-Illinois offers recycling equipment at no-interest loans. Mr. Schenck hopes volunteers would man the recycling center until loans were repaid. When the center became profitable, funds could be used for other litter control programs in Fauquier.
