Johnny Moyles is coaching soccer to elementary school students, along with several other high school boys, one being Tom Taylor, also from Castleton. This is for the Rappahannock Athletic Association with Barney O’Meara of Woodville in charge of the sport. Johnny tells us that the boys have improved 300 percent since they’ve started, and that they hope to be playing games with other counties in the future. He declares, that there’s lots of talent in the group - his brother, Chris, being a “hot dog” player. Now I wonder what that means???
Parks department
holds registration
The Parks and Recreation Department will hold registration April 1-10 for its spring and summer classes.
New’ classes include popping and breaking, aerobics, basic boating, baton twirling, golf, wrestling, rockcraft and mountaineering. .
