The following are stories about Easter written by students in Mrs. Debbie Flincham’s second grade class at the elementary school.
Dictated by Nathan Flincham, Kindergarten: Once upon a time an Easter bunny didn’t have any eggs to color. So he went to find some Easter eggs. He found some chickens in the hen house. He took out some eggs from one of the hen’s nest. Then he went * back home. Then he colored all the eggs the same color. Then he put the wrong eggs in the wrong baskets. He went to the store to find things to put on Easter eggs. When he came back to look at the Easter baskets he found chickens in the baskets. He decided to give the baskets to the boys and girls so they could have Easter chickens.
The Bunny That Got Lost By Amie Weller: Once there was an egg and it cracked! And a bunny ran out and then it got lost. And it was raining and the bunny was cold. But he had to find somebody that liked him. One day he found a house. He hopped and he hopped and he hopped and finally got to the house and he knocked on the door. A bunny! Yes a bunny and the man liked him and they loved him and they lived happily.
Shannon Denise Freeman: One morning a bunny was hopping and hopping down the road. He met frog and said good morning. The bunny had a basket. He passed a dog. He is a nice bunny said the dog. He gave me bubble gum today, said frog.
