mess has to be cleaned up. By whom? Anybody, or better yet, everybody. Governor Robb has recently set aside April 8 through 20 as KEEP VIRGINIA BEAUTIFUL weeks. Well then, what an excellent time for some spring cleaning in our own county. The whole state will be doing it along with us.
So let’s get some volunteers together from clubs, schools, organizations, churches-wherever. The point is to clean up the ugly spots in the county, especially the blight along 622. The editor of this, paper volunteers tq spend Saturday, April 13, cleaning up along 622 if, and only if, at least 10 others call the news office three days ahead of time to make a commitment to join him.
In the meantime, what about the sleazy litterers? Word has to get out in far blunter terms that Rappahannock looks unkindly upon those who defile its paradise.
