Congratulations to Peggy Woodward who passed her exam on June 10 and is now an Emergency Medical Technician for Castleton’s Rescue Squad. It was a tough test and she attended classes for four months with 120 hours of class work.
Peggy gave a smashing graduation party at her home on June 29 for the other 17 students who were also delighted and relieved to pass the test plus other interested persons.
They were Eric Thurston, the Emergency Medical Coordinator and his wife, Jeanie and their son from Culpeper, Gary Mocarsky, their instructor from Culpeper, Frank and Joyce Short, Randy and Liz Shifflett, Rodger and Debbie Settle and children, Mr. and Mrs. Gary Lunceford and family, David Melbome, Kim Atkins, Charles and Phylis Lauffer, all from Culpeper, Jim Pike from Brandy, Tim Martin and his friend, Sue from Richardsville, Sherrie Johnson and daughter, Julie from Wood ville and Nancy Crossman of Amissville.
A special congratulations to all of you on passing that test!!! Other important guests at the party included Sheila and Sharon Scott of Amissville, Connie Huff of Flint Hill, Didi Salmon of Flint Hill, Richie Eastham of Washington and Tracy Sutphin of Castleton.
This crowd had a marvelous time playing volleyball (women beat men - ha! ha!), croquet, badminton, horseshoes, and cooking and gabbing over the barbecue and drinking Peggy’s punch!! Yes, sir!! What a day they won’t forget!!
