The Woodards were married at Sperryville on November 30, 1866. They were the parents of six children, Alberta the eldest, Columbus who married Flora Updike, Isabel married Posie James Wayland, J. William Daniel, who married Amy Morehouse, a son who died in infancy and Ennis who married Bessie Compton.
