The Washington Ladies Auxiliary to the Washington Volunteer Fire Department realized about $600 at their annual fourth of July bake sale and Thrift Shop sales. All donations were greatly appreciated and helped to make our day successful.

Mrs. D.C. Welling, Judith Carter, Anne Katherine and David Bentley of Gales Ferry, Connecticut spent Tuesday as guests of Mr. and Mrs. Page Moffett and family in Leesburg. Mrs. Welling and children have been houseguests for a week of her mother, Mrs. Jean B. Moffett.
On Friday Mrs. Welling and children will be joined by Commander D.C. Welling at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. D.G. Welling in Gaithersburg, Md. and on Saturday will return to their home in Gales Ferry.
