Amissville Resident
Ilene Virginia Palmer of Amissville, formerly of Fairfax, died Sunday, June 23 at the Fauquier Hospital in Warrenton.
Survivors include children, Mark A. Palmer, Christopher D. Palmer and Patrick S. Palmer, all of Fairfax and two sisters, Patricia Pitts and Virginia Wolfe, both of Fairfax.
Funeral services were held at the Everly Funeral Home in Fairfax. Pastor Clyde R. Woodard officiated.
Hugh J. Racer
Washington Resident
Hugh Jackson Racer, of Washington, died Saturday at Oak Springs Care Center. He was 92 years old.
Mr. Racer is survived by two daughters, Anna Curtis of Fairfax, Mary Gardiner of Houston, Texas, a sister, Alice Finchum of Berryville, a granddaughter Susan Sturgill of Fairfax and two great-grandchldren.
A graveside service was held Tuesday. The Rev. John Burke officiated. Burial was in Washington Masonic Cemetery in Washington, Va.
Arrangements were by the Moser Funeral Home.
