Mrs. George Butler, Mrs. Edmond Burke, Mrs. Thomas Winkler, Mrs. Jane Thornhill, Mrs. Frank Duncan and Mrs. Cary Thornhill spent Tuesday with Mrs. Betty Cahill in Winchester. Frank Duncan spent the day caring for Mr. Thornhill.
Revival services are in progress this week at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church each evening at 7:30 p.m. continuing through Friday with the Rev. Virgil Wilson of North Carolina as guest speaker.
Mrs. Christine Timbers and Shelley, Mrs. Virginia Dodson and Mrs. Lorainne Tompkins were Saturday guests of Mrs. Hattie Broyles in Etlan.
Mrs. Lorainne Tompkins of Tuscon, Arizona, Mrs. Frances Lengel of Indian Head, Md., Mrs. Betty Wharton of Culpeper and Teresa Brown of Sperryville were all here with Mrs. Charlie Dodson two weeks ago and on June 20 attended the Brown family reunion at Rappahannock Recreation Park. There were about 50 family members present. The ladies are all sisters and it was the first time they had met for many years.
Mr. and Mrs. J.R. Peyton of Culpeper were guests last Sunday of Mrs. Jean Smoot and daughters.
Mr. and Mrs. H.C. Racey and children, Katie and Cliff have returned home after a weeks vacation with Mrs. Beatrice Clevenger in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Mr. and Mrs. Holtzman Frazier of Fredericksburg and Mrs. Alvin Atkins of Sperryville were fourth of July guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Frazier, Jr., Michele, Michael and Christopher.
Sgt. and Mrs. Russell D. Burke of Columbia, South Carolina spent the long fourth of July holiday with Mrs. Bessie Corbin. Additional guests entertained at a luncheon on Friday were Mr. and Mrs. William Burke of Charlottesville, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Burke of Rochelle and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Peregory of Castleton.
Mr. and Mrs. Billy D. Updike and family visited at Graves Mountain Lodge on July 4th going especially to view the fireworks.
