“We have to start building these fees into the budget because v.e can't continue to do this," said board member Nancy Reeves. She asked Superintendent Robert Estabrook if there was any way to keep the fees at the lower levels.
“We could reassign money in our 1985-86 budget to help subsidize text books,” Estabrook said. Estabrook used Piper’s projected enrollment of 574 students at the elementary school to determine that an additional $1,71112 would be needed if the present text book fees were to remain in effect.
