Mr. and Mrs. Henry C. Jenkins spent the 4th of July weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wikfors and daughter in Maryland.
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Dennis of Jackson, S.C. arrived last Wednesday for a visit with relatives and friends in the county. They were houseguests of Mr. Dennis’ grandmother, Mrs. Robert Nethers.
They left for their home on Monday accompanied by Miss Karen Corder, who will be spending some time with them and Mr. and Mrs. W.C. Dennis at Jackson.
The Flint Hill Ladies Auxiliary met at the fire hall on Monday, July 1. They made plans for the annual firemen’s carnival to be held July 31 through August 3. There were 16 members present.
The Administrative Board of the Flint Hill United Methodist Church will meet on Monday, July 15 at 7:30 p.m. at the home of Mrs. Barbara Sherman.
Mrs. Robert Nethers and Clyde Lillard attended the Jones family reunion at Madison on Sunday.
Visitors in the home of Mrs. Robert Nethers and her houseguests, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Dennis on Saturday were Mr. and Mrs. Maynard Nethers, Miss Sissy Nethers, Doug Kitts, Mrs. Dorothy Lewis, Karen Corder, Charles Corder, Jr., Miss Debbie Dennis, Carrie Ricker, Mrs. Helen Coffey, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Coffey and Daniel, Mrs. Polly Aylor, Heather Aylor and Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Nethers.
Mr. and Mrs. Odie Herndon and sons of Manassas were guests on July 4 of the latter’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bunny Hudson. They joined Mr. and Mrs. Barry Hudson at their home in Front Royal for a cookout.
Roger Welch and Courtney of Mt. Airy, Md. spent from Wednesday until Sunday with his mother, Mrs. Roland Welch. Ryan returned home with them after spending the week here with his grandmother. Also visiting on Sunday was Karen Welch. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Welch and Billy were Saturday visitors.
Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Vest and Meredith of Virginia Beach spent July 4th with Mrs. Christine Vest and Mrs. John S. Dodson at Sperryville. Curtis Vest of Longwood College spent Friday and Saturday with his grandmothers, Mrs. Vest and Mrs. Dodson.
