Betty Catherine Williams, of Sperryville, and Curtis Roy Crawford, of Woodville, were married on Sept. 21 in a double ring ceremony at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church. Michael Lamm, pastor of Sperryville Assembly of God Church, performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Huff, of Flint Hill. She was given in marriage by her family and escorted by her brother, David Huff.
The groom is the son of Mrs. Opie Crawford and the late Mr. Crawford.
The bride wore a formal length gown of white lace with a high neckline, long, lace sleeves, a natural waistline and a full skirt. She wore a white, bridal hat with white roses, pearls and an attached veil. The bride carried a Bible and a cascading summer bouquet of open soft and medium pink roses, daisies, baby’s breath and a mixture of green and pink bows and streamers.
Her matron of honor was her sister, Joyce Wharton, of Sperryville, who wore a light pink formal length gown with sheer overlay, an off the shoulder neckline, full skirt and flounces in back. She carried a bouquet of pink roses, daisies and baby’s breath with a pink bow and streamers. She wore matching flowers in her hair.
Bridesmaids were Juanita Atkins, of Sperryville, and Sherry Johnson, of Woodville, who wore formal length gowns of light pink with a high neckline, long sheer sleeves with ruffled bottoms and flounces in the back. Other bridesmaids were Lisa Wharton, of Sperryville, Lillian Sykes, of Washington, and Raynetta Gheen, of Amissville. They wore formal length gowns of ivory with high necklines, long sheer sleeves with ruffled bottoms and flounces in back. They all carried bouquets of pink roses with baby’s breath and pink bows and streamers. All wore matching flowers in their hair.
