Supervisor guilty of DUI
Loudoun County supervisor Andrew R . Bird III (R-Sterling) pleaded guilty Monday in General District Court to driving under the influence of alcohol.
The 40-year-old county supervisor, who was arrested just before midnight on Sept. 1, received a $200 fine and his license was suspended for six months by Judge Archibald Aiken.
However, the judge will permit Bird to drive to work and to meetings of the Ethos Foundation at Alexandria for treatment and counseling.
