Staff against camp
The Loudoun County planning staff has produced it* third report in a month on Sweetwater Farm summer ounp, which a group associated with controversial political theorist Lyndon H. LaRouche Jr. proposes near Neersville.
Unlike the first two reports, however, the newest report recommends denial of a special exception to allow the camp. The camp has aroused intense public opposition because of the association between Campaigner Publications, which would operate the camp, and LaRouche, who lives under heavy security near Leesburg.
The commission planned to make its recommendation on the application on Oct. 23. The request then would go before the Board of Zoning Appeals at its public hearing on Nov. 21.
