Hollywood’s “Italian Stallion” may be considering a home in Clarke County’s horse country.
Sylvester Stallone, accompanied by Danish actress Brigitte Nielsen and his father, Frank Stallone from Potomac, Md., recently toured two properties in Clarke, Locksley and Longbranch.
Locksley, owned by Mr. and Mrs. Emil Jung, is the home of the American Association of Breeders of Holsteiner Horses. Longbranch, purchased several years ago by Norman Hicks, is a thoroughbred operation featuring a son of Seattle Slew at stud.
Mr. Stallone reported expressed interest in both properties. The actor/producer who gained “superstar” status as an ambitious boxer in Rocky and super boxoffice success with his two Rambo pictures, was apparently undaunted by the $2,975 million price tag on Locksley’s 465 acres or the $1.3 million being asked for the 142-acre Longbranch estate.
